MEMOIRYvonne (Martin) McCaskill is a 1964 (January) graduate of NDHS. She attended 9th Street, Lee Elementary and Roosevelt Junior High schools. Experiences at North Division, earned an Associates degree in Secretarial Science from the former Spencerian Business College (29th & Wright) and the Milwaukee Institute of Technology (MATC). During the ten years of working in private industry for Allis-Chalmers and General Electric, Ms. McCaskill was encouraged to continue her education. She

attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri, earned a BS in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Marion University of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
In 2004, Ms. McCaskill retired from Milwaukee Public Schools as a district level administrator with thirty years of service, holding many teacher, supervisory and administrative positions. At the time of retirement, she was responsible for the coordination of district-wide staff development opportunities. Following her tenure at MPS, she continued to be committed to her passion of improving academic outcomes for children of color by advancing the skills of those educators who work with them. As an educational consultant/trainer and facilitator with the Efficacy Institute, she facilitated professional development opportunities in many school districts around the country.
Her life-long mission has led to her current goal; to mobilize the services of community resources that have a common mission and commitment of improving the quality of life for the residents of underserved communities. Active in her community, Ms. McCaskill has served on several non-profit and community Boards, volunteers in her church and various community/educational institutions. She currently serves as the Coordinator for the Century City Tri-Angle Neighborhood Association, a community based, resident led organization whose goal is to organize, maintain and sustain a vibrant community.
As a founding member of the North Division High School Alumni Association of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Incorporated and continuing to serve on the Board of Directors she is committed to the Mission:
“The North Division High School Alumni Association of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Incorporated (NDHSAA) shall work towards strengthening and sustaining participation of individual North Division alumni and alumni friends in the pursuit of academic excellence, personal growth and development of the students of North Division High School.”
Ms. McCaskill encourages all Alumni and Friends to seek volunteer opportunities to support the students, teachers and parents of North Division. “There is much work to be done and a place for everyone.”
